This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) that Flypost uses on www.flypost.io and app.flypost.io, why, and how you can control them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data more generally.
The short version
- We use a small number of cookies: to keep you signed in and secure, to measure how our sites are used, and to credit partners who refer you.
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not let advertisers track you on our sites.
- You can turn analytics off at any time, below.
1. Essential
These are needed for the Service to work and to keep it secure, so they cannot be switched off. If you block them in your browser, sign-in and some features will not work.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token (local storage) | Flypost (Supabase) | Keeps you signed in to the app | Until you sign out |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Cloudflare | Checks you are a person, not a bot, on sign-up, sign-in and password reset | Session |
| Google sign-in | Lets you sign in with Google, and choose Google Drive files, if you use those features | Set by Google | |
| Preference and progress keys (local storage) | Flypost | Remember choices such as your current project, dismissed tips, the plan you picked before signing up, and drafts in our free tools | Until cleared |
2. Analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand how people use our website and app. Its requests go through our own domain. We use what it tells us to improve Flypost, not for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_<project>_posthog (cookie and local storage) | PostHog (EU), through our own domain | Counts visits and records which pages and features are used, so we can see what works and fix what doesn't. In the app, linked to your account | 1 year |
Under UK law, cookies used only to improve a website can be set without asking first, provided you can easily object. You can do that here at any time:
Analytics on this website
Checking your setting…
That setting applies to this website in this browser. We also honour your browser's Do Not Track signal on both our website and the app. To stop analytics in the app on every device, email [email protected] and we will turn it off for your account.
3. Referral tracking
If you arrive through a partner's link (a link containing /r/ or ?via=), we set a cookie so the partner can be credited if you later subscribe. It is set only when you arrive through such a link.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| fp_via, fp_via_click | Flypost | Records which partner's link brought you to Flypost, so they can be credited if you subscribe. Holds a partner code, a click ID and a timestamp, nothing about you | 60 days |
4. Payments
Checkout and the billing portal are hosted by Stripe on its own website, which uses its own cookies for payments and fraud prevention. See Stripe's cookie policy.
5. Fonts and embedded content
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them but sets no cookies. Videos or posts embedded in an article may set cookies from their provider (such as YouTube or LinkedIn) when you play or interact with them.
6. Controlling cookies
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics or referral cookies has no effect on how Flypost works for you. Blocking essential cookies and local storage will stop you signing in.
7. Changes and contact
We will update this page when the cookies we use change. Questions: [email protected].
