How do I restore something I deleted?

Last updated 25 October 2026

Quick answer

Open the project menu at the bottom of the sidebar and click Bin. Everything deleted in the last 30 days is there, with how many days it has left. Click Restore and it comes back with everything that was deleted along with it. After 30 days it's gone for good.

Did you delete something and wish you hadn't? Don't panic. Almost everything you delete in Flypost goes to the Bin first, and stays there for 30 days, so you have plenty of time to get it back.

In this guide we'll cover where the Bin is, how to restore something, and what to expect when it comes back. Read on to find out more.

Where is the Bin in Flypost?

Click the button with your project's name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Bin. It lists everything deleted in the last 30 days, in three groups: things deleted from the project you're in, things from your other projects, and deleted projects.

The Flypost Bin page headed 'Deleted in the last 30 days', explaining that restored items come back with everything deleted along with them
The Bin. Each item shows how many days it has left before it's gone for good.

How do I restore something?

Find it in the Bin and click Restore. It comes back with everything that was deleted along with it: an idea with its posts, a project with all of its content.

What should I know about restored items?

  • Scheduled posts come back unscheduled. Open them and pick a new time.
  • A restored project needs LinkedIn and Google Drive connecting again, and pending invitations aren't kept. See connecting LinkedIn.
  • Restoring a project counts towards your plan's project limit. If you're already at the limit, delete another project or upgrade first.
  • Sources from your Brain are labelled "Notebook" in the Bin. That's expected.

Common questions

How long do deleted items stay in the Bin?
30 days. Each item shows how many days it has left. After that it's permanently deleted and can't be recovered.
Do restored posts keep their schedule?
No. Scheduled posts come back unscheduled, so pick a new time for them.
Can I get back an idea I discarded?
No. Discarding an idea isn't the same as deleting it: discarded ideas leave your list and help Flypost learn what you like, but they don't go to the Bin.
